Wellington North is a passion project brought to life by a group of well-rounded equine enthusiasts. With many combined years of experience in the equine community, our team has created an elite environment that is second to none, with premium care at an outstanding facility.
Our clientele are friendly, inclusive, respectful and professional. We have zero tolerance for anything otherwise. We have a good mix of hunter, jumper, dressage, event and pleasure riders. Some compete at high levels, while others choose to leisurely enjoy their equine partner at a facility with show barn standards.
Wellington North welcomes outside coaches, trainers, veterinarians, farriers and other equine services. Coaches are required to be approved by Wellington North. They must adhere to our code of conduct and show proof of coaching insurance.
Stephanie grew up riding and has owned, bred and developed several horses over the years. She enjoys showing in the hunter and jumper rings but has also competed in eventing.
She completed the Equine Management program through the University of Guelph in 2005 and after had the privilege to manage some elite equestrian facilities.
In 2014, she made a career change and decided to focus on her business background. Today, Stephanie is the V.P of Marketing and Partner at Wellington Group of Companies.
Wellington Group of Companies purchased the 92 acre facility in Milton, Ontario and Stephanie is responsible for the vision and business development of Wellington North E.C.
Amanda started working with horses over 30 years ago when her mom made it very clear that if she wanted to ride, she had to work for it. She started working off lessons at a local hunter jumper barn when she was 12 which eventually led to her working full time at the facility.
She then went on to manage some premium equestrian facilities across Ontario but ended up leaving the horse industry to pursue different avenues. After several years she learned that her heart belonged with the horses and decided to get back into equestrian care and farm management.
During her time off, you can find her enjoying time with her family, her adorable dog, and her wonderful Quarter horse mare. She discovered the world of extreme cowboy and has developed a beautiful and trusting relationship with her mare. They are currently sitting in the number 1 spot in their division and look forward to continuing their success.
Ciara’s first experience with horses was at a birthday party, at age 5 she immediately became hooked! From then on she started off riding english at her local riding school and helping out with chores on the property.
Her love for horses only grew from then on and at the young age of 13 she decided to try barn work. Once having gotten that experience it only fuelled her passion and she quickly realized this is what she wants to do for a living!
Currently she has 3 of her own mares. But her heart horse is her 7 year old large pony that she brought along herself. You will typically see her giving extra love to all of the horses at Wellington North, treating each with equal amounts of kindness and affection just as she does to her own.
Ciara is enrolled in Equine Studies courses at the University of Guelph. Once she has fully completed her classes and received her diploma, she will work on getting her coaching license. Previously she was the junior instructor at a facility and hopes to be able to teach kids again in the future!
Alicia fell in love with horses at a young age when she started volunteering at a local ranch at the age of 7. Eventually this turned into her riding and showing western pleasure and gaming. After some time living the western life, Alicia discovered the English riding discipline and knew that was the direction she wanted to go in. Since then, she has competed in the hunters, jumpers and most recently dressage and eventing.
She has a soft spot for off the track thoroughbreds which is how her OTTB mare Kate joined the family, a horse she had the privilege of showing at The Royal in 2019. She hopes to have some success in the upcoming show seasons as she continues her training in the world of eventing.
Alicia is also a Certified Equine Sport Massage Therapist and will be pursuing some courses in horse nutrition in 2022. When she isn’t engrossed in horses, Alicia is practicing as a registered practical nurse.
